Mother, Daughters, Sisters

A few weeks ago, I had a special and wonderful opportunity to spend a weekend with my mom, sisters, and my darling grandma and amazing aunties--- just us girls, no kids, no husbands. We had a such a great time together, staying up late, touring the city, playing games, and laughing like crazy. Seriously, such sweet, invaluable memories.

We went to the old town to play and tour--- and, naturally, take pictures! We had a blast.

And--- I realized a major reason why I love taking portraits. As I took pictures of this wonderful mom and her daughters, I really felt the love they have each other and the friendship they share and want so much to continue to nurture, even though they live so far away and are in different stages of life. What a beautiful thing to witness. I think we captured that in our pictures.

(I love how Mom is affectionately looking down at all her daughters. I especially love that is was a sweet, candid moment)

I also really wanted to make sure to take individual portraits. Each of them are so remarkable and beautiful in their very own way. I wanted them to be able to see that in themselves and have a beautiful picture of themselves. How can you not admire each of these lovely women?
